“ This place was AMAZING! I'd give a 6 if I could. The line was out the door when we came and we had to wait an hour and a half for our food- but I'd do it again any day! This was my first time eating Texas BBQ and my first time at a Michelin star restaurant. Naturally, I came in with very high expectations! My friends and I ate family style and ordered most of the menu - fatty brisket, bacon ribs, all three sausages, flat iron, and cheek (unfortunately, the ribs were already out). Pretty much everything was phenomenal. The meats were straight up amazing. It's hard to pick a favorite since they were all so good- but the bacon rib was heavenly. The rubs that they use to season their meats combined with the amazing sauces deliver so many different absolutely amazing experiences. The sides were also mostly amazing. The cornbread was wonderful - the butter and strawberries that they come with are such a good pairing. The grain-bow salad was a nice and refreshing change-of-pace compared to the really heavy meats. The only dish I didn't like as much was the Chili Frito Pie, which I found to be too salty. Bottom line - amazing. I honestly don't know how BBQ can be topped. Shoutout to Leroy's dad, who was around helping people find water and just being a great guy. ”
“ My husband and I went to Leroy and Lewis this past Saturday as we make our way through the Texas Monthly list! Since it was Saturday, we expected a long wait time going in. We got there around 10:50-11AM, and we were able to order at 1:15PM. So wait time a little over 2 hours. Staff was extremely friendly and checked on you throughout the experience (in line, at the counter, while eating, etc). The food— The beef cheek was 10/10 and our favorite thing on the menu! I would recommend this to everyone! The brisket was super flavorful and had a really nice peppery taste from the bark. Also, would highly recommend. The chicken was great and very well done, but you could skip it if needed. Overall, my husband and I didn’t have much interested in the offered sides, but the chips were tasty! Not sure when we will have another few hours to go again, but it was definitely worth the wait! Thank you! ”
“ Absolutely amazing! Totally worth the visit. Everything from the clean atmosphere to the bathrooms was great. There just 2 of us and we did a 2 meat tray and a 1 meat tray for a total of 3 meats and 4 sides. This was plenty and we had no leftovers. The flavor explosions you will experience will rock your world. We had the chori papa's, Ceasars kale, miss carrots, tallow chips, flat iron, brisket, and cheddar chorizo sausage. Everything was phenomenal! Support this local Michelin starred gem and make your taste buds happy by stopping at LeRoy and Lewis! ”
“ This place has been open for over a year and half now and we just now found it. The service is excellent! The staff is super friendly! We walked in and we were greeted immediately after, where given menus and told about thier special sauce of the day. Approached the order counter, and the guys all greeted us and a staff member introduced all bis coworkers! Omg that simple gesture made my whole day! We smiled and joker about how I was we were so hungry I wouldn't remember thier names! Lol they all laughed. The food portion are a good quantity and very delicious. I had the brisket with side of coleslaw slaw and chori-papas. They have a nice picnic tables in the backyard, which probably is best at night. The place was not busy when we arrived shortly after 11am, however....soon after we placed our order we looked behind us and there was a line to the door!. Would give it 5 stars, but for lack of parking spaces. But is a must try! ”
“ Incredible Texas Barbecue. We went when there was a special for an Oktoberfest sausage which was delicious! Unfortunately, buy the time we got to order, one of the items we wanted to order was already out. I definitely recommend coming as early as possible in order to get everything you want. The flat iron and tri-tip were my favorites but no doubt the barbacoa and brisket were also amazing. Anything you get will be juicy and flavorful. ”
